1. Who we are

CourseSteward is provided by Merewick Systems. For privacy enquiries relating to CourseSteward, contact hello@coursesteward.co.uk.

2. Information we may collect

We may collect contact and account information, correspondence, subscription and billing status, technical and security information, and information submitted when someone asks about or uses CourseSteward.

3. Customer training data

CourseSteward customers may enter information about their own customers, delegates, instructors, bookings and training records. The CourseSteward customer is responsible for deciding why that information is used. Merewick Systems processes that information to provide and support the CourseSteward service, subject to the applicable agreement and data-protection requirements.

4. Why information is used

Information may be used to provide and secure CourseSteward, administer accounts and subscriptions, respond to enquiries, support users, improve the service, maintain records and meet legal obligations.

5. Payments

Direct Debit services may be provided through GoCardless. Payment providers process relevant payment information under their own privacy terms. CourseSteward may retain identifiers and payment-status information required to administer a subscription.

6. Service providers

We may use carefully selected service providers for hosting, communications, payment processing and other infrastructure needed to operate CourseSteward. Information is shared only where reasonably necessary for those services or where required by law.

7. Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes for which it is held, including providing the service, resolving disputes, maintaining appropriate business records and meeting legal requirements.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give individuals rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability. Where information was supplied to CourseSteward by one of our customer organisations, requests concerning that training data may need to be directed to that organisation.

10. Complaints

You may contact us first so we can try to resolve a privacy concern. Individuals may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as CourseSteward develops. The current version will be published on this page with its latest update date.
